Biography
I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Padua, Italy, and I am currently on the job market for post-doctoral positions starting in Fall 2025. From February to June 2024, I was a visiting researcher at the Leibniz Center for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim, Germany, where I was affiliated with the Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics Research Unit. From February to April 2025, I am visiting the postgraduate research program in Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy at the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
I am currently a member of three professional associations: the American Economic Association, the American Finance Association, and the Econometric Society. Previously, I have been a member of the Academy of Management (Technology and Innovation Management, Strategic Management, and International Management Divisions), the Society for Institutional and Organizational Economics, and the Strategic Management Society. At the University of Padua, I serve as one of the elected representatives of the Ph.D. students on the Council of the Department of Economics and Management, as well as the Ph.D. Program Board.
Before starting my Ph.D. in October 2021, I worked as a research assistant and teaching associate at the College of Business and Economics, American University of Armenia (April 2020—July 2021), as well as conducted research within the framework of a research project financed by the Manoogian Simone Research Fund (September 2019—February 2020).
I hold a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs—with a specialization in Public Policy and Development—from the American University of Armenia (class of 2019, with honors) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Yerevan State University (class of 2017, with honors). My research prior to starting a Ph.D. was published in several peer-reviewed journals, and I am a recipient of a number of awards.
